the people scrambling, grabbing things
mazing in and out of frustrated
under-payed employees
frustrated with their low wages
and knowing that their jobs will be terminated
shortly after the rush finally ceases
parking lots people not stopping
honking at others walking in
christmas joy scrambled
by people's own hurry
people cant stop and look around
and observe they're in a department store
the false ribbons hanging all over the isles
made to exploit and destroy everybody
people standing awkwardly
while waiting for a response
a housewife nervously collecting groceries
for a christmas dinner
not putting any thought into the presents
as they gather and scramble
trying to find something to appease everybody
